Research project: Managing Pension against Longevity Risk
With a team of six, I explored methods pension plan sponsors in U.S. could adopt to manage the longevity risk in their pension plans. We produced a White Paper and presented our report in front of audience over 30 including an industry professional with over 25 years experience in pension consultancy at Deloitte. I was heavily involved in conceptualizing and consolidating our direction and I came up with innovative pension plan designs.

Presentation: Monte Carlo Simulation through Acceptance/Rejection Method
With a team of five, I delivered a presentation on Monte Carlo Simulation with a focus on the Acceptance/Rejection Method, during Statistical Inference class. I introduced the basics of the Acceptance/Rejection Method and presented a hands-on example using this method with Excel. The presentation was highly praised by the professor and was well accepted by the reviewing peers.

In my professional and academic pursuits I have been leading, participating or supporting various projects. Through these projects I have significantly enhanced my research, communication and leadership skills. I intend to bring these critical skills to my future workplace.
Team project: Parent Plus at Utopia Research Institute
Directing a team of five, under the direct guidance of the CEO of Utopia Research Institute, I was in charge of the team building, idea consolidating, project planning and design implementing of the project, in which we aimed to provide an online database where parents could get tailored help on parenting children with the aid of artificial intelligence. Over the five months I was on the project, I made significant contribution and earned recognition from the CEO.
